improving aviation safety through collaboration

Northeast Safety Roundtable

The Northeast Safety Roundtable is a collaborative 501(c)6 non-profit organization dedicated to improving aviation safety. Our membership consists of aviation safety professionals from FAR Part 91 corporate flight departments with significant in the Northeastern United States and other industry stakeholders.

Commitment to Safety

Member companies of the Roundtable commit to conducting operations at the highest standards of safety in the industry

01

Safety Standards

All members are required to maintain a formal and active Safety Management Program and be externally certified by either the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) or the Business Aviation Safety Consortium (BASC ).

02

Collaborative Efforts

Collaborative efforts within a trusted and confidential framework promote the sharing of critical safety information and resources, empowering members to achieve operational excellence.

03

Data Analysis

Members utilizing GE C-FOQA as their data analysis vendor are encouraged to join the NESRT Benchmarking group. By sharing and correlating data, we can identify the most common hazards to our specific segment of aviation and develop risk mitigation strategies to work for our operators.

04

Educational Programs

Annual in-person and virtual educational programs are designed to keep members updated on the latest regulations, technologies, and best practices in aviation safety.

05

Networking

Members are encouraged to connect with industry peers and partners at NESRT hosted events to build relationships, confidence, and trust.

06

Online Forums

The majority of the Roundtable’s activity is conducted through our online discussion forum. Designated member representatives and other safety team employees are granted access to our forum to discuss issues and share information.

The Roundtable meets virtually in early to mid-January and in-person in the July timeframe. Each meeting typically includes organizational business updates, a dedicated educational section, and a “closed door” information session for safety managers and safety gatekeepers. All employees of member departments are welcome to attend any business or education session. Closed meetings are restricted to prescreened and preapproved participants only.

The support and knowledge shared within the Northeast Safety Roundtable community have been crucial for our flight operations. We are grateful for the ongoing education and resources.

In a partnership with GE C-FOQA, participating members can attend regular analysis forums where aggregated NESRT flight data is presented and discussed. This allows for individuals to benchmark against both the larger industry as well as peers with a similar philosophy towards safety and operations.

NESRT members regularly gather informally at aviation conferences and safety events such as the Business Aviation Safety Symposium, NBAA Conventions, Regional Business Aviation Association events, and the Bombardier Safety Standdown.
